How is the effectiveness of commercial electronic tenders measured? Etenders.ge presents the key statistics of 213 commercial tenders as of 2016 — from the number of participants to procurement methods.
Did you know that Etenders.ge primarily evaluates its own efforts based on statistical data reflecting the results of tenders conducted on the platform?
It should be noted that the main direction of our activity is not only the continuous improvement of our electronic system. Equally important to us is, for example, informing potential suppliers about announced tenders and providing technical assistance when submitting proposals.
Procurement Methods
Below is the key descriptive statistics of the results of tenders conducted on Etenders.ge as of 8 February 2016 (213 tenders).
In 63% of commercial tenders conducted, purchasing organisations chose electronic tenders, which implies not only the publication of the tender announcement and documentation on Etenders.ge, but also the receipt of proposals in electronic form through our system.
In approximately 86% of electronic tenders, organisations chose to receive proposals using the single envelope principle, while 12.5% were conducted in the form of a reverse auction. An insignificant share falls on the use of the prequalification module (which is natural, given the specifics of prequalification).
Number of Participants
Proposals from suppliers were submitted in 91% of announced electronic tenders (in our terminology, the tender was assigned the status "completed"). On average, 3.97 bidders participated in a completed tender.
It should be noted that in 86.2% of completed tenders, at least two bidders submitted proposals. The record number of bidders in a tender to date stands at 15. On average, 373 interested parties view a tender announcement.
